When you provide links to people who will link back to your site in order to obtain some benefit, you’re using an affiliate program. The benefits you offer to your affiliate usually refesr to a small percentage of the sale made to one of the people that arrived at your site through your affiliate’s site.

The benefits affiliate get are usually as small as 0.05$ but sometimes can refer to a percentage of the sale.  Though it seems like you couldn’t earn a living being an affiliate, many people manage to earn serious money and additional traffic out of this type of business.
