Affiliate programs – additional traffic and additional cash

Some argue that paying for link back to your site is less valid than an organic link. But most search engines treat affiliate programs as an acceptable business practice. So your ranking won’t suffer from using affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs, a type of paid advertising, are means to increase sale numbers. When you provide links to people who will link back to your site in order to obtain some benefit, you’re using an affiliate program. The benefits you offer to your affiliate usually refesr to a small percentage of the sale made to one of the people that arrived at your site through your affiliate’s site.

The benefits affiliate get are usually as small as 0.05$ but sometimes can refer to a percentage of the sale.  Though it seems like you couldn’t earn a living being an affiliate, many people manage to earn serious money and additional traffic out of this type of business.

I have use an affiliate program on one of my websites. I really added it as a trial just to see how it went. Seems to make OK money each month so I have started to think it is something I should really try to get into.
