The secondary market is the place where you can buy used brand name equipment like routers, servers and others at low prices. You could end up saving 70% of the actual price. And, if your computer network keeps expanding, you should check out secondhand equipment. You can find used Cisco, Dell, Nortel or IBM Systems, and many more.

Many companies buy secondhand IT equipment. A few of the reasons companies choose used equipment are the following. First of all the savings could reach 70% as said already. But there are other reasons also; companies convert surplus equipment into cash by selling un-needed equipment or by trading it for other equipment. Also the secondary market is faster in providing the needed equipment, a lot faster then the manufacturer.

Another reason to go tn the secondary market for used equipment is that here you could find additional services like short term rental programs or trade-ins. Try to find a reliable, experienced dealer that offers tested equipment. One that offers warranty would be the best. This way you could stay away from scammers and save a lot of money.

Upgrading the memory in a laptop is one of the a couple of upgrades that can be executed by a home computer user. Laptops are configured to be self-contained and transportable and as such they’re made as a single unit.
Upgrades to memory only takes the removal of a couple of screws.
Notebook computers are a little different to desktop PC’s in that there’s no need to take them divided in order to add memory.

Access to the memory expansion slots are via a panel placed (generally) in the bottom of the laptop. Once you’ve detected this panel, it should be a small matter of using a screwdriver to open up the panel and look at the existing memory.

As a matter of fact, you are able to do this to check the precise type of laptop memory that your Notebook currently uses, because it’s generally shown on the front of the memory strips and should be visible when you open up the memory panel.

The memory strips are generally sealed in with small clips on the ends of the strips. To remove existing memory, plainly flip the clips then pull the memory strips softly from their holding place. If you’re only adding memory of course, and there’s space available, just add the new laptop memory, gently pushing it in to ensure it’s fully seated in the expansion slot, and then close the clips to hold the new memory in place.

Once you’ve replaced or added your Notebook computer memory, it’s simply a case of putting back the access panel, and then screwing the panel back in place.

Restart the computer and check the startup screen to see if it reads the new amount of memory. If the laptop and Windows recognize the upgrade, the computer is ready for use.
