For the month of October Google is still The Top search engine.

  1. Google captured 58.5 % of the market in October, up from 57 % in September.
  2. Yahoo remained a distant second to Google, capturing 22.9 %of the market, down from 23.7 % in September.
  3. Microsoft Corp.’s sites came in third with 9.7 % of the U.S. search market in October,a decline from the 10.3 % it captured in September.
  4. Internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp’s Ask Network took fourth place with 4.7 % of the U.S. search market, the same percentage it captured in September.

I personally use more often Google to search, for me the results i get for the query’s are much better than Yahoo and Live.

google, because that’s what i’ve always used. Live and Yahoo are trying WAY too hard, making their search pages full of crap and extra goodies that I really don’t want/need. Google is nice and simple, returns the results I need.

    In my opinion…
Google is the best search engine because they almost always have the best results to what I am searching for.

I have seen good improvement for Yahoo! in the last year.

The worst has to be MSN Live. Whatever system they are using for listing and ranking websites is totally off.

Ask.com has gotten about 1000 times better in the last year, but the site is too clunky. There is just far too much given to me when I’m searching. Whereas Google has separate pages for searching for video and photos, the ask page comes up with all of it at once. If they could get the results page to load faster they may be able to win me over, but I seriously don’t want to wait for 2 videos, a song and 5 pictures to load when I’m simply trying to find a website… that’s what search was originally meant to do, right?
