Just saw this on the News channel!
They said Yahoo rejected the offer from Microsoft because of the offer of $31 per share “massively undervalues” the company.
Well,Yahoo would be unwilling to consider an offer below $40 per share, which would represent a $12 billion increase over Microsoft’s original $44.6 billion bid. It is not clear if Microsoft would be willing to increase its bid by such a significant amount.
Since Microsoft’s initial bid, there has been a significant amount of discussion about antitrust concerns. Google’s chief legal officer David Drummond, writing on the company’s blog, said “Microsoft’s hostile bid for Yahoo raises troubling questions. This is about more than simply a financial transaction, one company taking over another. It’s about preserving the underlying principles of the Internet: openness and innovation.”
Well i am very interested how things will be..Who will get they Key!?:)

Recording secret videos of sex with your partner is not illegal, Italy’s supreme court has ruled.
Highest appeals acquitted a 49-year-old man who, unbeknown to his girlfriend, had recorded and kept films of them having sex.
It overruled two previous verdicts which had given him a four-month jail sentence.
The woman had agreed to the man using a video camera to project live images of them having sex on to the bedroom wall, but did not know he was recording the action.

This photo provided by the New York State Department of Health on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, shows an ad for the state’s anti-smoking campaign featuring Skip Legault, a lifetime smoker who has suffered an amputated leg, two heart attacks and a stroke. Legault, who once smoked three packs a day and attributes his ailments to smoking, can’t kick the habit, he still smokes half a pack a day.
Dr. Richard F. Daines, the state health commissioner, defended the campaign, which began running on television, in newspapers and on the Internet in November and ends Jan. 22.
“Here’s someone who’s willing to step forward and show his weaknesses in public,” Daines said. “I think it took a lot of courage.”

Alex Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said he had accepted the resignation of Health Minister Chua Soi Lek, who apologized after two lengthy DVDs hit the streets showing him engaging in sexual acts with an unidentified woman.
The scandal is the latest in a series of problems plaguing Abdullah’s government, which has been widely expected to call a snap election in the coming weeks.
“After I made my confession, I had hoped Malaysians would be able to accept my apology,” he said. “Unfortunately, from the feedback I received, I observed that Malaysians cannot accept it.”

Alex If you visit Google.com from an iPhone, you now get a menu of services to choose from – home (search box), Gmail, Calendar, Reader and More (docs, sms, goog-411, news, photos, blogger and notebook). It’s basically all of the core Google services, accessible from a single easy to use menu.
The new application has what is now considered a signature look for the iPhone. The look and feel of many of the interface elements are similar to those created by Joe Hewitt, whose sample framework and code have been used in dozens of iPhone applications. I don’t know if Google used any of his freely offered code, but it certainly has the look of one of his applications.
